The National Parks is an electronic-folk-pop band from Provo, Utah. The band released a studio album and a music video in the fall of 2015. Members include Brady Parks, Sydney Macfarlane, Megan Taylor, John Hancock, Doug Patterson and others. The following is what songwriter and frontman Brady Parks had to say about the music:

“We formed in early 2013 and just released our second album, Until I Live, in August. The experience we had while touring our first album (Young) was a major inspiration for the second album. Most of the songs on the second album were written and recorded knowing that they would be played for crowds. That didn’t really factor into the first album because it was written and recorded before we had a fan base. When the first album did well and people not only started showing up for shows in a big way but showed up and sang along to our songs, it just changed things for me as a songwriter.”

“So now even if a song is sparked by something very personal, I try to let it grow into something bigger that a whole crowd can experience together. Sometimes that means we’re all dancing, clapping, and shouting for the “bigger” songs and sometimes that means creating something subtler that can sort of hush a whole crowd – there’s a different kind of power that comes from a large group of people sort of taking a collective breath like that. I think Glow does a little bit of both, it starts slow and then builds to that larger dancier type of song, so combining it with footage of us actually out on the road playing it for people felt like a perfect fit for the video.”
