Sidewave – Album Release
Los Angeles based band Sidewave released the 12-track album titled Glass Giant on October 5th, 2015. The songs from the album started as a collection of demos written by songwriter, singer, and guitarist, Phil Golyshko. These demos were dubbed the “Big Time Demos” and once shared online, opened the door to a new chapter in the early life of Sidewave. The album was mixed by Aaron Harris and mastered by Chris Common. Sidewave band members are Phil Golyshko on vocals and guitar, William Collins on guitar and synth, Matt Russell on bass and vocals and Brandon Dickert on drums.
The band recently finished up their debut album Glass Giant with mix master Aaron Harris (Palms, ISIS, Puscifer) and is preparing for a late fall/early winter 2015 tour in support. The album is filled of lush drop-tuned chords, heavy rhythms and soaring vocals. There’s a cosmic atmosphere that swirls through their mist of distortion and it conjures feelings of love, melancholy and wonder. Fans of shoegaze and moody alternative rock will eat this album up.
The band has already shared the stage with great rock acts such as The Life and Times, Black Map and Æges. With a new album on the market and a live show that just keeps getting bigger, better and louder, 2015 promises to be even more exciting for fans of epic live rock n roll.
