Russell Lee – New Music

Russell Lee is a Canadian musician and while living in Nova Scotia back in 2005, Russell wrote and recorded his first album titled In The Night. In 2008, Russell moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he continues to write and play music. In September 2014, he released his second album titled What Do I Do. The music video “Picture” was released in late 2016, from the album What Do I Do.

About the music video and track, Curtis Chrusch (Bassist & Back-up Vocals) says “Working with Russell and the fantastic musicians on this CD was such a wonderful experience. Like his music, Russell is very genuine. He knows how to surround himself with a good team and he’s a great quarterback. It’s even more fun to go out on stage an play the music live for Russell Lee fans! Russell had a unique vision for this video. He opens up his life to us with photographs of his family and friends throughout the video, but there is an underlying message that is universal for everyone. I hope anyone that views the video gets an emotional kick like I do. My favorite part is the backyard barbeque scene. It brings back so many happy family memories. That feeling – that’s what Russell wants to give the viewer.”

Russell states (about the upcoming performance at Dauphin Countryfest): “We are super excited about performing on main stage on Sunday at Dauphin Countryfest as well at the upper stage at night opening up for Charlie Major. This will give us a great opportunity to share our music with the country fans at this show. To be performing at the same festival that includes Johnny Reid, Luke Bryant and Keith Urban, Doc Walker seems very surreal.”

Video for “Picture”: “We are very pleased how well the video turned out. It certainly captures the message of the song. We had an absolute blast making this video. And…are very pleased that we have reached the 100,000 view plateau on YouTube. Thank you to the fans that have watched and enjoyed the video!”

The band: “I have to say that I am very blessed to perform with the guys in the band. They are all extraordinary musicians and we have become good friends. I like the fact that they they appreciate and have embraced the original music that we play. Music is such a wonderful universal message that can make a difference in a person’s day. We hope that when the audiences listen to our music, that they can relate to some of the songs and messages and have a good feeling singing/humming the tunes.”
