Southern roots artist Marc Broussard has released a number of albums/EPs for philanthropic efforts and his most recent is SOS 2, released on September 30th, 2016. The recordings are part of his second charitable record through his S.O.S. Foundation, started in 2007. Marc says, “About a year ago, when we decided to do SOS 2, we tossed around several themes like blues, soul and even yacht rock. But something about this song “Cry To Me” called out like it needed to be heard by the world again. I couldn’t get away from it. I’ve followed my gut at every step during this process and hopefully it pays off because we’re gonna help a lot of people”. He also adds that “The plan is to release an SOS album every year along with associated video content and leverage those through licensing and sales to help those in poverty”. City Of Refuge, an Atlanta, GA based organization that does groundbreaking work with cities and the homeless population are the recipients of half of the proceeds from the release ( The fall 2016 tour kicked off on October 6th in West Hollywood, CA at the Troubadour and will be going through the East Coast and parts of Texas into December of 2016. S.O.S. 2: Save Our Soul: Soul on a Mission is his 8th studio album release and can be heard at Additional info can be found at
