JoLivi – New Music

JoLivi 1

Born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii, the now LA-living JoLivi made waves with her Just For You EP, which features JoLivi’s standout single, “Games” produced by Grammy-nominee and Juno Award winner Brandon Friesen, whose previous credits include Billy Ray Cyrus, Collective Soul, Finger Eleven and more. About the emotional project, JoLivi said, “I want to be a strong voice for other women who go through what I went through, like how Alanis Morissette and Gwen Stefani were for me. I want to show it’s okay to be vulnerable, to be heart-broken, to make the wrong choices, to lose yourself, and to ultimately know when it’s time to move on. That’s what this new EP is about.”

She also states that: “I wrote the song “Chains” about feeling the pain of a relationship breaking up. Two people going different directions but not really wanting to move on. Sometimes the fear of being alone is worse than the feeling of being chained in a relationship. The song also represents a new direction for my music. I feel stronger about my writing and the music I am making now. It truly represents who I am as an artist and person.”
